Pricing questions
What does it cost to join as an artist?
Nothing. Jamma Free gives you a profile, gig access and a working JamJar QR tip jar from day one. The platform keeps 10% on gigs booked and 20% (+VAT) on JamJar tips. Jamma Premium removes both (0% and 0%).
What do venues and bookers pay?
Nothing to join. You post gigs and browse artists for free. You pay the artist's quote — no booking fee is added on top. Payment goes through Stripe. The artist's share is sent to their Stripe account when the payment succeeds, and Stripe pays it out to their bank on their usual schedule.
How much can fans tip, and who pays the fee?
Fans tip anything from £1 to £250 and pay only the tip, no app or account. The platform fee (20% (+VAT), or 0% on Premium) and card processing come from the artist's side through Stripe.
How much is Jamma Premium?
£9.99 a month. It removes Jamma's cut: 0% commission on gigs booked, a 0% JamJar platform fee on tips (card processing still applies) and 0% commission on merch.
Can free artists sell merch?
Yes, every artist gets a merch store. Upload your artwork, pick a product from our catalogue and we print and ship it via our partner. On the free plan we take a higher commission on each sale; Jamma Premium waives merch commission entirely (0%).
What about hospitality venues?
Team tipping and review boosting for venues is in a live pilot with a first UK venue. Commercial terms are being finalised, get in touch to join the pilot.
