About
Nova Wave is a Portuguese-born, Manchester-raised artist blending Hip Hop, Afro, and R&B into a sound that’s infectious, edgy, and deeply personal. With vocal-driven hooks, rhythmic beats, and influences from Slow J, Mac Miller, and Outkast, his music bridges cultures and connects across borders. Starting his journey performing in English, Nova Wave later embraced his Portuguese roots, crafting music that reflects both heritage and evolution. As part of a duo, he racked up over 100K streams and earned attention from music blogs, laying the groundwork for his solo career. Now performing independently, including shows at Night & Day Café, Nova Wave continues to push creative boundaries, delivering tracks that are both introspective and danceable. Each release showcases his unique voice, proving he’s an artist carving out a distinct place in the contemporary music scene.
